Declarative and Procedural Knowledge

Teachers should consider:

• What appropriate declarative and procedural knowledge their students will need.
  
• How to activate their students' prior knowledge and misconceptions. For example, students could use a KWL (see RHS) to identify what they think they know and what they think they will find out. They could then explore the Visitors' Centre and identify what they have learned.
  
•  How their students will personalise their learning goals.
