Aspects of Savanna Walkabout are included for
primary school learners.

This section features an inquiry-based learning design that
incorporate aspects of the
Savanna Walkabout learning module for Primary School
teaching and learning. It was developed in response to teachers'
suggestions for such a resource. These learning ideas are based on
the
Learning Plan (designed for
Middle Years) and model the 5Es instructional model (Bybee 1997)
which the
Primary
Connections (Linking Science with Literacy) program has
adopted.
- Backyard Biodiversity
(this uses the 5Es model where teaching and learning progresses
through the five phases: Engage, Explore, Explain, Elaborate and
Evaluate)
